OJT 9-22

My mind is ranting on OJT, On-the-Job-Training, this morning. I redefine it as On-Jesus-Time when applied to evangelism or bible study. Yesterday during OJT, I met two men that said their reason for separating from the church was the church caters to the rich, holier than thou people while looking down on the poor, struggling people. I excitedly told them I just left a bible study group that was discussing James chapter 2, about not being a respecter of persons in the church. We are told, do not say to the rich “Please, sit here” and then say to the poor “You stand over there” in the assembly. Yesterday’s divine encounters were not just coincidental, similar encounters have happened to me too often, whenever I am willing to be used by God. One of those two men, Kyle, declared to recommit to repent, believe and follow Jesus. I need to remember a first step of faith is required by me to receive from God because I believe he desires it to be of my own free will.
