Greatness 6-22
TGI Thursday. Most of my Christian walk has been a struggle with haughtiness and hypocrisy. Because the knowledge of evil still resides in my flesh, I constantly have to mindfully speak to it to take a chill pill and get over itself. It is hard to resist taking some credit whenever I see the Holy Spirit performing before my eyes. I suppose that thorn in my side will remain until the first death. I assume everyone knows the second death, the one we are told to fear, is at judgement day. Jesus says to achieve greatness we must become servants and minister to others. We know that is contrary to today’s definition of fame and fortune. I must remember: “And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant; Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many”.
