Festival of Light 5-20
It is a good morning today. I went to the Strawbery Festival last night for my first time and was impressed. I went to join an evangelical team to spread the good news but ended up deciding to relax and enjoy the moment. I did speak with a few people and asked their salvation status and happy to report all said they knew Jesus as Lord. One mother came up to me to say her daughter told her what I was there doing and she encouraged me, saying the world really needs more of that these days. Well, I went to the festival expecting to see a Roman or Greek scene of drunkenness and worse but instead saw parents dancing with their children on the dirt rodeo arena floor in the concert hall. One child in particular caught my eye as she danced her heart out with her mother, doing this move where she placed her little fist to her eyes. She then opened her fingers to simulate fake eyelashes, flashing them at her mother as she swung her ponytail. Even though I did not save anyone there, I hope I strengthened some's faith and let them know it is ok to speak Jesus' name in public. Remember the media makes revenue off selling chaos and tragedy. But we should keep our focus on God because He is bigger than all.
This artist, Harley Ray, was playing at the festival and I felt touched by his soulful renditions.
