New Jerusalem?8-14
Howdy. My Pastor taught about building a legacy out of Psalms 127 and my KJV titles that Psalm “Children are God’s Heritage”. In the afternoon I attended a grand opening of a Missionary Baptist Church’s new building. The Pastor there opened his message with Psalms 127, also, which led me to dig deeper into it this morning. I continued into Psalms 128 which is titled “Blessings on the House of the God-Fearing” and if you have any doubts on why we follow the Lord, these Psalms are a good place to start. The last word of Psalm 128 is Israel and Israel literally means those who rule as God, according to the Strong’s Concordance. It is no coincidence that the United States of America is the superpower on Earth, when we are “One Nation under God”. We rule as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob would rule because we are seeds of Abraham, grafted into the olive tree of the Jews and heirs of the promise. I am convinced that the United States is a type and shadow of the New Jerusalem foretold in the bible. As such, we should remember the United States must rule as our God wills with wisdom, love, compassion and yes, when justified, with wrath.
