Sin Redeaux 6-25

Happy Sonday. Pressing on about sin, Jesus told the lukewarm in the church of Laodicea, “I will spew thee out of my mouth”. I have heard this taught as vomiting, that it grieves Jesus so much it makes Him sick to His stomach to see God’s children needlessly suffer. I once made the mistake of praying to share in His grief over the oppressed, the starving, the sex-slaved and the war torn peoples of our time. I got what I asked for, with images of suffering people from around the world flooding my mind. I cried so hard my stomach muscles began to ache. It only lasted a few minutes but seemed like an hour, before I begged for it to be removed from me. Asking forgiveness for my weakness, I heard in my spirit that I was not meant to carry this burden. Lesson learned. Remember Jesus told Laodicea, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; be zealous, therefore, and repent”.
