Propitiation 8-18
My mind rambles on how when I pray for strangers for God to intercede into their lives, I get a blessing. Usually, it causes me to reflect on the fact that I once struggled with the very same things in my life also. Then, I recall that I had never asked God for forgiveness of those sins. Could that be the end purpose for these divine connections sent my way? It has happened too many times to be coincidence. We are commanded to love our neighbors as ourselves. Remember: “Herein is love, not that we love God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins”. 1 John 4:10.
PS: The Greek word for propitiation (hilasmos) means atonement.
