Engagement 5-15
Good news, I am engaged to be married! Better news, so are you, my fellow believers! For if we drink the wine of His cup presented to us as is the Galatian wedding proposal ceremony custom, we have accepted His proposal of marriage. The groom has gone to prepare a place to receive His bride at His Father’s house. As brides-in waiting we are to, first, remain separate and devoted to Him, our betrothed. And to also wear the wedding gown of righteousness at all times because no one knows the day nor hour of the wedding but the Father of the groom. I thank God that He has given us that linen of His righteousness because we could not afford it on our own. Luckily, we do not have to worry about staining our gown in our daily lives because He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and wash away those stains with the blood applied. Myself, I desire to wear a crown, or tiara as appropriate, on that day but I acknowledge that it is earned. How, you may ask? That prize is earned by being a doer of the word and not just a hearer of the word only. I pray all of us have accepted Jesus’ proposal and will remain faithful to Him in our waiting period. Because whether Jesus returns for His bride individually at the hour of our death in the flesh or corporately when He returns for all those remaining on the earth, it means the same for us. We will be taken up to that place He has prepared for us at our appointed hour. I trust I will see you there. Go Team Jesus!!!
