First Things First 8-2
Hello ya’ll. I am ranting on Genesis 1:1 this morning. I have advised others that until you believe that first verse, you will not understand the rest of the books that comprise the basic instructions before leaving earth. My experience has been that until I believed, without any doubt, that God is exactly who He says He is, and does exactly what He says He will do, I likewise could not believe the amazing, miraculous stories being retold. I assume that is why He placed that verse first. I looked up the Hebrew word for God that is used in the first verse and found that it is, Elohlym, the plural form of God. Who are these Gods? It must be referencing the trinity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Three persons in one being. Sometimes the English translation makes me work for it and I thank Elohlym for the Strong’s Concordance. I need to remember Jeremiah 33:3; “Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not”.
