Good morning. The Pastor asked us to come forward and speak, in one line, of what Jesus has set us free from. I said, “Jesus set me free from suicide”. I feel that I did not tell the whole truth because He set me free from hell. In my twenties, I purposely took an overdose of pills and found myself in a very dark place. It was peaceful, until I caught glimpses of multiple scary-looking eyes staring at me. When Jesus appeared the eyes fled and I was told to go back because my work was not finished. In that hospital bed and for decades after, when I asked what that work is, I got silence. Clearly, the bible answers that we are to tell the good news until everybody hears it. “That if thou shalt confess with thou mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”.
