Sister 6-1
Howdy, this morning I am recalling a young witness of faith that brought me to tears recently. She was a 9-year-old girl with a speech impediment that was singing in a praise team. Not because of her voice but despite of it, she sang with such confidence and conviction to God. But that was only the start; it got better when the speaker interviewed her afterwards. She asked for the mike and proceeded to pray and prophesy over the gathering. She called out all Christians who sit in the pews but do not act. Then she called out all Pastors who do not preach the full gospel, holding back for numbers or for profits. Think it could not get any better? The speaker asked her brother, sitting in the audience, if he sang also. He said, with a similar speech impediment his sister had, that he did sing. But when offered the mike he could not take it. The 9-year-old sister encouraged her 10-year-old brother, saying not to worry if he made a mistake or stuttered because when God hears it, He will hear perfection. I was not the only one tearing up in my seat this day. Emboldened, he took the mike and sang with his sister by his side. She held his hand and helped him along with the lyrics. All of this literally came out of the mouths of babes. We should remember to hold a hand and help a brother or sister-in-Christ along with the Word(s).
