Mountaintops  5-25

Greetings ya’ll. I woke up thinking about this personal mountaintop I am on and the view up here is amazing. Years ago I went to a medical facility located next to Rice University to see my doctor. It was morning and very busy traffic wise but I was on time and checked in on the fifth floor. I was then sent to the tenth floor waiting area to see the doctor. At each stop I looked out the windows and enjoyed the view, noticing that as I got higher up I could see farther. The new perspective was so different at each floor from the last that I came to associate it with our walk with God. On the first floor was the traffic, honking, people scurrying as if late to work, etc. On the fifth floor less noise was heard and I saw over the trees to reveal student playing sports on manicured fields of green. Then on the tenth floor I heard silence, the people were like ants scurrying about and I saw past the university to reveal the subdivision houses and roads. At that time I likened it to our worldview as we grow up in God. I want to tell you of my first mountaintop experience some 40 years ago. I was admiring the view and ego set in wondering if others were impressed with my accomplishment too. Sometime later I felt something on my legs and looked down to see fire ants crawling up. I was on an ant mound and them ants were angry. Off came the britches and I did not care who saw. I asked God, “Why Lord would I be treated this way?” He replied, “I told the ants to let you stay seven days and if you had not moved off their mound they could force you to move”. Well I do not know what I am standing on today, I believe it maybe an Indian burial mound or so as I know I have ascended mole hills before. It is getting harder to make these posts short and sweet so I thank you if you read this far. Remember it is wiser to climb tall mountains in a group for support and to assist each other along the path.
